Its been about...18000 miles. This is the first time this has happened. When I rev up to a high RPM , lets say....4500-6000, and push in the clutch, i hear a high pitch whine that gets quieter as the RPM goes down. Is this the "rear end whine TSB" that I have been seeing since day one? Or is it something else?

That's not the differential whine that you've been hearing about. You would here that while cruising no matter how many rpm's the engine is turning. From your description I can't tell exactly what you may be hearing. Sounds like a possible issue with the trans or clutch assy.
