gear ratios?

I've got a '65 coupe w/ a crate 302 w/ GT-40 cam and heads from Ford Racing and T-5 4-speed tranny, problem is ive got a "highway" gear ratio set and my low end isnt near wat it could be. So my question is wat ratio should i put in that will utillize all my horses out of the blocks but at the same time not have my rpms thru the roof wen im on the highway?

a T5 is a 5 seed tranny.
Did you mean a T-10 4 speed?

3.50 would be my choice. A good all around gear.

I have a very setup and went with 3.70 gears. I thought it did a better job of getting the engine to the power band a cruising speed. Hopefully equates to not as much bogg if I smash the throttle in 5th gear.

I just changed out my gears not to long ago and went with 3.40's and posi. If I was to do it over again I would probably go with a 3.55.

If its a 8", 3.80's. i have them and work good on the freeway and around town.

Yeah, it would be good to know if you have an 8" or 9" rearend.

and 5 speed or 4 speed....

no need to limit yourself to 3.50's if you have OD, you can run as high as 4.30 and still cruise comfortably. If you have no OD, 3.50-ish will be about the max for easy cruising.
