OK i recently had a trans form D and D performance put in my car and it makes noise Will its in neutral, its like a rattling or grinding sound, its changes with shifter movment, its goes away if i push on the shifter as if i were going to put it in gear. I took it to them and they said its gear rattle and that its normal  ...ever heard of this or no whats causing it???

I have never heard of rattling or grinding noise in neutral. Depending on how the gears are cut...they may whine....but not rattle and/or grind. I have some idea of what goes on in a tranny and nothing comes to mind that would cause that kind of noise but then go away when you try engaging a synchro. Does it shift and sound fine otherwise?

shifts great!!!

I have a TKO-600 that does the same thing. In addition, mine has a rattle when I lug it down or when I'm driving in 5th gear. I took the tranny out and tore it down to inspect. Everything looked perfect inside. I replaced the Thow-out bearing and pilot bearing while I was there. No difference. I wouldn't worry about it. But I understand how annoying the sound can be.

Gforce makes a GF2000 tranny lube. I use it in my G-force T5 cuz they tell me to do so to reduce the gear whine, but I bet you could run it in your tranny also. Its red like ATF but its kinda thick like gear oil. Your supposed to put one bottle in and fill the rest with synthetic ATF...it would definetly thicken things up and probably cushion the noise. If you wanna give it a try.
