Quite awhile back I upgraded my gears and used a Predator to set the
correct ratio. I have now gotten my Kenne Bell and am set to start installing
it. My question (and I tried searching) is can I somehow keep the Predator
gear setting? I know I have to remove the custom tune, so I am guessing
that the ratio correction will go too? I'd hate to have to pay for a speedcal
if I can do something with Predator. Would the SCT Xcal have been a better
choice and would that have allowed me to keep the ratio setting? Thanks
for any suggestions.

Good question, I'm lucky and could use the manual gear that just goes in the tranny. I'm assuming you are talking about using the KB supplied chip instead of your predator? Your predator actually changed the ecu and is not just a chip right? I would thing the kb chip would just add ti it and not take that tune away. Just guessing though. 4.10's may be a little steep for the kb too, kb's optimal suggestion is 3.73's. Just my .02

Yes, I know (or have read) that KB and 4.10 is not the best combo.
I really was not going to go supercharged so went with the 4.10s for
that reason. Now I have them and the KB. Yes, the Predator merely
flashed the change for the ratio. I don't believe the Kenne Bell chip
does anything with that. But I plan to call them to make sure. It
was one of the questions on their sheet I had to fill out. I don't mind
having some loss of traction, but from the sound of it I will have lots
of lost traction. I guess I will go ahead and find out how it is and
then decide what to do.

I did the same thing, started N/A and then could afford to get S/C so started that route. I got lucky though, i just went 3.73's first. Give KB a call and then you'll know for sure. Good luck with the build .

the chip KB will send you will override what you've flashed on the computer with the predator. have KB put the correct gear ratio in the tune.

Im pretty sure KB has already put the correct gear ratio on your chip. You must have filled out the order form which asks for your gear ratio. This info will be put into your chip.

the tune is on you chip from kenne bell. you can't write tot hat chip with the predator nor should you want to becasue they you could not sell the predator.

if kenne bell did not flash for the correct ratio have them reflash you chip.
