I was referring to the tool that has the machined tube that is bolted in the carriers location. Any tool that's been machined for measuring is gonna cost a lotttt of cash...
I have a Rotunda and ended up paying somewhere around 1200 for the set. Granted, it will do 7.5, 8.8, Dana 28, etc...if you get a good quality one just for the 7.5 and 8.8 I think it's somewhere around 600 or so....didn't really price those out.
For the Ford gears you really don't need a pinion depth checker as they usually don't require much adjusting....but once you get people that bring motive, richmond, etc.. gear....it's nice to have the tool.
