im swapping in some 4.10s and im having trouble getting the carrier out, any one have any suggestions? ive taken out the differential locking shaft, c-clips, axles, and the main bearing caps, and the carrier wont budge any help would be much appreciated

Sometimes they can be a mf'r to get out of there. What I ended up doing was using a 2 jaw puller to get it out. I put a 1" think prybar across the case and used that to set the puller on. Then hook the jaws on each side of the differential and wrench it out of there. Once you get it pulled out about 1/4-1/2" it will come out fairly easy.

thx for all the help guys! after i posted this i ended up sticking a pry bar through the middle of the housing on the bottom of the carrier and pryed straight up and it just slid right out lol. thx for the help :)
