ok i think in the last week ive been told by about 4 seperate builders that before i get crazy building the motor, i need to set a good foundation in with suspesnion and tranny. well my suspension is about as far as it can go. so im good there. drivetrain.....ive just got through buying a 2400 stall and a transgo hp shift kit. (aod) gonna have a few extra things beefed up while im in there too. so among all this i think ive been told not only on here, but by them i need to go to a steeper gear, such as 4.10s and i have 3.73s at the moment. i think ive read almost 100 gear threads and i dont think i saw my answer or i just missed it. ill keep this short.

its a primarily street driven truck (4k lbs), driven daily. it sees the highway on a frequent basis during the school season. during summer itll be lucky if it goes out of town. but i drive about a 90 mile trip to school, 3 days a week. when im in town, im usually doin the regular thing most of you do....well keep it at that. so the questions are:

1: how much will my rpms increase, i pull about 2500 at 70-75.
2: how much will my mpgs decrease, not that it matters really, i still have to put gas in it on a constant basis. just curious.
3: will i be able to tell a significant difference between the gears/ will it be worth the money?

im sorry that i had to make another thread, i just couldnt seem to get the answers, and if i can be swayed, then ill go on and get some gears here before long. thanx

If you already have the 3.73 in the car it's not worth the $$$ to swap to 4.10...but yes there would be a difference in performance between the two...A nice stall converter would be more beneficial in my opinion...
