Check my math here. I am going to change out a 2.73 to a 3.73 and this is the rpm jump I came up with .The tire I run will turn 786 revs in a mile. It takes 1 more turn of the drive shaft to make the tire go round 1 time so the way I see it I will be turning 786 more RPM at 60 MPH. i dont know if I'm even in the ball park here so dont laugh too hard.

jesus man, you have way too much time on your hands.install those 3.73
gears and enjoy. dont worry about how many more turns you make.

Going from 2.73 to 3.73 is about a 27% increase in rpms. At 60 you'll turn around 1778rpm's(1400x27%=378+1400=1778) Pearl02.

just throw on those 3.73's and have fun at 60 you might be turning close to 2000 rpm's but it'll get the car quicker to its rpm band

there are 600 threads on gears and what is my rpm with 4.10s and I 'm scared to go with 4.10s should I do 3.90s? If you do one search, all can be answered.

You guy's are right 4.10 it is . I'm not buildin an eco car .BTW I built up and put in a mark VIII 32V in my 98 V6 stang and the tag on the rear says 2.73.

98 v6 rearend is 7.5. not 8.8.

No more so than lugging the engine at low RPMS.
