After three years of trying I finally got an internship with an automotive company in Michigan. I'll be working in Milford, Michigan this summer (right by the proving grounds) as an engineering aid. From the way it sounds I'll be working with corrosion and stuff like that. I'm pretty excited since this is what I've been wanting to do for quite a while. Does anyone know what Milford is like and what the test facility there is like?

Hey that's cool that you live so close to this place. How is the area? I still haven't figured out how I'll get down there yet. It's either fly down there and rent a car for 12 weeks or drive my mustang all the way down. That would be a crap rental fee and I've never driven that far in my entire life by myself. I'd probably get lost coming from New Mexico :D

the area is nice its country like... a nice city, i used to work out there alot where are you coming from? and DO NOT drive the stang... its gonna snow like no other over then next month or so.. and a mustang wont get you to work and back safely

Sounds nice. The internship isn't until about May so it wouldn't be during the winter :) I would have to drive from Holloman AFB, NM to Milford so it still kinda freaks me out if I have to drive so far.

all high way aint so bad.... once you get here are you gonna have the internet ?... there are some pritty sweet gatherings in MI, like the Dream Crusies.. through out summer so if and when you get here ill put you up on them and we can all meet up..
