anybody running these, or have run these? i am looking at the Exclaim HP's in 275/40/18 and 245/45/18. tirerack has them reasonably priced, and i don't know anything about General tires to make an educated decision. right now, we are running Kumho ASX's on ours, and they are great so far, but they don't make the 245/45/18, we are running the 255/45/18 on the front now, but they are a hair taller than the rears. i am looking for any opinions, or facts, or any info really about these...thanks

I haven't put them on the Mustang yet, but my son and I each bought a set for our SHO's. Mine are 17's and his are 18's. Really good summer tires, and good in the wet, but neither of us have run them in the snow. Continental bought General and is trying to re-establish the reputation I think I read. I'll buy the General's when I get my new wheels, in the same size you are looking at.

according to General, they are not designed for snow at all. but i am sure no summer tire is. they are a great price, and they have those two sizes that are same diameter, so i might give them a whirl this time...

i bought the Generals for the rear. Only had them for 2 weeks now. too much rain to get out and test them. I bought them cause they had good reviews, good traits , 380 tread wear aa traction & a temp + a z speed rateing. Also cost is the best. All other tires I researched weight were 31 lbs, the generals are 25 lbs. I talking about the 275/40/18's

General tires in the past for me have lasted longer than most, but not handled as well when pushed hard around entry/exit ramps and the like. I have not like the wet weather perfomance as much either.

All this is based on tires in the past (Mounted on an 88 Mustang and 01 F150) and compared to similar priced tires.
