Gettin into the 4.6 crowd

I had a 00GT and had NO intake problems. Had the car from new until 9,500 miles. Sold it to a friend who DD's it and has 65K on it now....no intake problems. Most have been warrantied by now anyways.

IMO .. get a 96-98 cobra hands down. you should def. be able to find one in your budget and have some money left over. It'll be like night and day from driving your fox, and you'll have the best of both worlds. I was amazed when i bought mine at the difference in the two (i had a 90 gt as well). 96-98 COBRA FTW!!!!

is there really that much of a difference between them??

but im really tryin to get that 98 cobra

Yes there is. The DOHC are all top end. You don't even really feel the power until about 3200 rpms and then they'll pull hard right to the redline (6,800). And dont forget a set of 4.10's (which are awaiting an install by me lol). 5.0's are all torque which is why you feel them down low. Now don't get me wrong I'm not knocking 5.0's at all! I still wish I had mine so I could have the best of both worlds, but I had to pick one engine basically, and I went with the cobra. But since you are keeping your fox, IMO without even hesitation, get a DOHC Cobra!!

Driving a 4.6L and 5.0 are like two different animals.

Gotta keep the revs over 3000RPM if you want to make the car boogie with a 4.6L.

yeah i have always heard that the 4.6 loves rpm's. but i wont complain im sure. i found a 98 gt today and im goin to look at it tomorrow. says they only want like 5,000 for it so im gonna jump on it if it is good condition
