Getting a truck

Okay so I was searching listings and I found an 84 f250 for 2,500 set up to tow regular or gooseneck. Has good looking tan top and bottom and navy blue on the sides paint. Has nice rims and tires. Packing a 460 5 speed 2 wd which I prefer. CD and CB. I'm thinking get it. The guy will trade for a car. Interior is tan also and looks nice. Would change rear gears and do rear brakes and suspension at least right away. Would look into swapping a dash from a mid 90's f250. Any comments??

I'd had thoughts of it yeah. I wonder if it's carbed or injected. If it's got a Computer onboard I could chip it. Then maybe jrichker would help me with my electrical issues lol. How is your carb setup coming?

Whats makin you want to get rid of the car tho??? looking for another one, or just not into it anymore?

Mine is slowly but surely comin along.. Im trying to do as much work on it after work without pissing the wife off, so im at least making forward progress

I knew it would pick up for you. You saw a lot of things coming together quickly, sometimes that's what you need for a boost. As for my car. I don't want to sell it. But we do need a good truck like this one. And it would be fun to drive. I had a truck like that a few years newer but also had the 460 w/ 5 speed and 2 wd. I'd like to have both vehicles but if it came down to it i'd choose the truck. What do you think of it>?

I like the truck alot! The only thing i would do is probably change out the steering wheel. I bought an 02 F-150 for my DD, and after driving it for a few months, i wont be without a truck ever again. Its too bad ya couldnt get the truck and keep your car

Try to find an older one with a diesel, I had an 86 2wd with a 6.9 and 4spd. That thing could pull just about anything.

just fyi, the 460's werent carbed till '88. looks to be in pretty good shape, dont know if its something that id pick up, but its not bad.
