So I just ordered some boost for myself. Its a 2.1 intercooled KB kit. Decided on this instead of the 2.6 cause that would probably be over kill for what i am doing lol. I moved 5 gs into my savings account as well for the build.

The following summer i will be building the motor and then few months later i will be going with the new hellion hellraiser twin turbo system and running a compound boost setup. this is why i dont need the 2.6 lol. but this is just a plan and plans do fall through so we will see what happens with the compound boost setup but who cares at least my car will still be KB supercharged here very soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!

^^^thats why i am so happy filling the bottle was a pain. it was fun having that instant kick but man when a vette or something looked my way and the bottle was closed i looked the other way so i didnt get anything started lol

Couldn't talk you into the Tork Tech, huh? ;)

That being said, if compound boost is in your future, you might want to rethink the Kenne Bell. I don't believe you're able to run compound with a Twin screw because of the units internal compression properties (compression takes place within the blower itself). You'll need an Eaton based kit where all of the compression (including that of the turbo system) takes place within the manifold if you want compound boost.

yea it wont be for sometime that i would go compound boost either so i would talk with hellion before doing it cause like said the plans could change lol. Im just excited to finally get this after 4 years of owning the car.

i realized bottles are for babies i need to get blown for a change.:nice:

im also kinda leary about ordering from a company i have heard of once and thats because it was discussed on this forum lol. while it may be a good kit companies can also go under and then what happens when they go out of business and something goes wrong with my kit where can i get parts lol. thats what im worried about

i am just going to use there monochip calibration until i can get a wideband and build my own tune with the sniper. cause i also have to get the commando software so i can do more in depth tuning.

and yea i am switching over the accufab.

lol yea man have you dont some track days yet? I am headed out to vir on august 11th for the 3rd time. I am addicted too. I have to zx6s one for track and one street. its tons of fun just expensive as hell

No twisty tracks yet! I went down once on the R1 in the twisties this year, so I decided to ease back and give my knee pucks a rest for awhile lol... I'm switching to a slower bike for the street/twisties and converting the R1 to drag duty (I'll PM you a pic of progress so far lol).

BTW how much boost are you gonna run on the KB? You should be able to make 450RWHP EASILY and safetly with that setup, should be a kick in the pants!

Emailed Hellion about the KB issue.

"Can the hellraiser kit be used with a KB Twin Screw s/c on a 2V motor instead of the Eaton roots unit the Cobras get?"

Answer:

"Absolutely. As long as the supercharger is a positive displacement type, that mounts the throttle body near the stock location, the kit will work.

"The most important thing to consider, however, is that the power is not coming from the supercharger, it's only there to provide low-end torque and help spool the turbos. So, with that in mind, it's important to spin the blower slow, like 8-10 lbs. of boost maximum. Then rely on the rest of the boost pressure fromt he turbos to make the hp."

:D
