It's been a while since I posted and I'm almost done collecting parts for my H/C/I. I'm going with a mild build but some things have changed since my last post.

First, I found a great price on a set of new Edelbrock 6025 heads. They basically cost me what it would have cost to get my GT-40's irons ported adding in the initial cost of the GT-40's. I think this was a better way to go. What do you guys think?

Since my head plans have changed from ported GT-40's irons, will I still be ok using the 94/95 Cobra intake and Crane 2031 cam I already had? I plan on getting the lower ported also.

Lastly, I found a good deal on a GT-40 Intake. Would it be worth getting the GT-40 and selling the 94/95 Cobra? From what I've read, they're basically the same but I like the look of the GT-40 better. Just don't want to buy it only because it looks better IMO, and have something already that does the same job. I'm not planning for any supercharges or anything like that, just close to 300hp or daily driving fun.

Here's what I have now, probably forgetting a couple of things but the majority is there:
94/95 Cobra Intake with 3/8" spacer
Edelbrock 6025 Heads
Crane 1.7 RR
Crane 2031 Cam
BBK 70mm TB
C&L 76mm MAF for 24lb Injectors
24lb injectors
Walbro 255 lph fuel pump
lifters
water pump
timing chain

Thanks for looking.

Do you still have the GT40s? Or was that part of the plan that you never got to buying cause you found the sweet deal on the eddys? Also, yeah, there's almost no difference in performance from the gt40 to the cobra intake, and getting the lower ported is the one thing to do.

Yeah, I still have the GT-40's. They came off a running explorer motor, just can't remember how many miles. Planned on doing the ebay thing with them but if you're interested, send me a PM. I also have a used set of Trickflow springs and an extra set of valves to go with them.

I might stick with the Cobra intake. Was just thinking I'll need the elbow too which will add to it's cost. Hmmmm, still up in the air about it.

Yeah, and once you put the elbow on, it doesn't look quite as sexy as it does on a fox body, haha. Just paint match the intake to your engine and it looks pretty good.
