Hi there. Have a 70 drag car and for the life of me I can't get the rear of the hood to close tight enough. I have tried everything as far as hood hinge adjustment but no success. The rear of the hood is always higher then body line. Any suggestions.
loosen the two back bolts on the hood hinge at the inner fender apron ,loose enough for the hinge to slide .Loosen the front bolt just loose enough to allow the hinge to roll back without it sliding down .Lift up on the front of the hood ,it may take two to do this , then tighten the back bolts while the front of the hood is lifted .Carefully close the hood because it may roll back into the cowl .if the hood is now to far back, loosen the two bolts attaching the hood to the hinge and pull the hood forward .It may take a few tries but it should adjust out now .
