So I have 2 leaks, one coming from each end of my transmission. I went to a local mechanic and he quoted me $350 to take it out, put new gaskets, and put it back in. Is this a fair price for that job?

How much should I expect to pay for a job like that?

For a t-5 or AOD??

Most of the work is all labor...i'd say that's pretty much in line.

If you want cheaper...pull it our yourself.

For the T-5.

The guy actually told me he would do the full exhaust and new clutch install for free whiles hes doing it. So I guess thats a great deal then.

yeah that sounds really cheap to me, seeing that he's willing to swap your exhaust and clutch for free too.

Grow some bawls and do it yourself. Its really not that hard. Me an my buddies can swap a t-5 in a little over two hours.

^ thats right jesse. i think its pretty easy. its not like most trans jobs. its common sense really. take off the shifter, remove the h pipe, the driveshaft, trans crossmember, and 4 bolts that hold the trans in (if you have a t-5) and its out. your in jersey, ill do it for some extra cash lol.
