getting rear end!

I did an engine swap in my 96 mustang. I took out that little v6 and droped in a modified 302. But I dont feel that i am getting all the power I can. I still have the stock 7.5 rear end in the car and I am thinking that it is robbing me of the pick-up that I am looking for. does anyone know what gears I should put into this 7.5 and does anyone know what gears are in it now?

rear end

just jack the car up on the rer end turn the tires from the pas side and count the turns of the drive shaft that will let u know what gear is in the rear end. i would not put any money into a 7.5

I thought they stopped putting 7.5 rear ends in mustangs in 1986? Maybe I am wrong.
I would get a 8.8 rear end, I have an AOD with 373's stock was 273's
I noticed a big difference. Most guys will tell you 373's for a 5speed and 410's for an auto.
