Getting Sponsored

Anybody gotten sponsored and if so what does it take to get it done? Are you dedicating alot of time, etc... or just making sure that your car is logoed? Basically looking for mods at little to no cost because someone else wants noteriaty.

to get sponsored as far as racing goes you have to be running fantastic times. why? because thats how parts are sold. why would anyone sponsor you unless your running superior cutitng edge times to anyone else. theres lots of 05 and up stangs on the road now. id say unless ur in the 11s and faster good luck getting a sponsor for your mods. u might have luck at quinea pigging ur car with a turbo kit. u might have luck in the show car scene. otherwise look for some shop or company jus starting and check them out. but if your run high 13s when justin burcham has been in the 9s good luck gettin a sponsor.

you have to sell yourself and your car to a potential sponsor. you have to show them why they should sponsor you. how will their product/name be seen by potential customers, etc. it takes a ton of legwork, and there needs to be something different about you/your car.

so it sounds like find a new or old shop somewhere and ask them if they are willing to get their name out there by putting it and goodies on my ride, sound like what you are saying. Looking for a show type car, not a racer. Some of the goodies associated with racing wouldn't be bad on a show car though.

basically, that is how you start. i hope that you dont DD this car, otherwise it will be a tough sell to a potential sponsor. DDs get beat up and chipped frequently, and many sponsors would rather find a better candidate.

i assume that DD means Daily Driver? If so yes, i do use it for DD and why wouldn't a shop want that? How else would their name get out there in the public for consumption? There was an article in this months MMFF about sponsors but i thought it was horse . Anyhow, i would love to have someone donate some pieces to my ride for others to drool over. I get so many compliments already that it was a question that just popped up. I saw somewhere in here recently that they needed a few cars to put glassback roofs on but not really a sponsor thing. Maybe i would be alright with just being a ride for testing the marketability of bada$$ new products. lol
