My friend added shorty headers, ported E7's and 1.6 Roller Rockers and gained about 40hp/4mph (in the 1/4)

yeah, when i got my engine freshened up with new rings and whatnot, i asked him to port the crap outta my heads (been doing it for about 9 years now) it was definately a noticable difference. dunno if it is better then a profesional (thumper of course ) but i definately noticed a difference. he said he destroyed my exhaust ports like our e7's need and did a good job to everything else but that is only from someone that has done mustangs for about 4 years so i dunno.....i so go for it if it cheap if not, get something better then if no money, send them to thumper cause he does great work form what im told

If you want to build a beast in the future, I say "dont do it".

If youre just trying to pick up some HP, and youre on a limited budget, then it should be fine if the heads are in decent shape. Check with TMoss.

There are some guys on here that have p/p E7's from him!

Tmoss does intakes (from 1st hand exp. a realy nice job on the lower stock intakes btw), You want to talk to thumper460 on the heads (hope to have some realy great 1st hand things to say about thumpers work soon). Together they should be a nice combo.

Yeah I'm also looking to possibly do a TMoss intake/ Thumper head combo over the summer. For the money I think the gains would be pretty nice. Some fox body guys are in the 12's with that combo and typical boltons and gears. Which means like high 13's for us.

You should be able to pull off something better than that. There are plenty of guys with stock heads/cam in the mid 13's.
