Give me your insight?

Ok, I've always wanted a 347ci. Why? I have no idea, I just like the number I guess. What I would love to do is get between 450-500rwhp with this motor. Can it be done? If not what motor would I need to achieve this? My goal is to have a powerful n/a car running in the 11s. Deep in my heart, I feel like using a power adder is like cheating. But in case I need to go faster, I would just add a bottle of nitrous. I know this would have to be a high compression car, right? This car wouldn't be my daily driver but I would to be able to drive it whenever I want with a/c and power steering. What do you guys think?

You think you need WAY more than you really do to go 11's :D

I use Paul's heavy, fully loaded, stock blocked, combo as a reference point for my opening statement.

You have set yourself up quite nicely to achieve that goal with the fact you are not gonna do it with a dd.

Are you talking about your heavy vert in this example
and
what trans type

anyway ......

Now its your turn
or
whoever else wants to reply to my thoughts:)

It'll be my current vert. I'd probably get a t56 or that t5 the one that is super. Can't remember the name right now. I would like to achieve low 11s n/a. Maybe I won't have to get those big hp/tq numbers but they would be nice. My main goal would be to accomplish low 11s/10s n/a. Besides that, hp/tq #s come in second.

Well ..................

First you said 11's

Now you say low 11's

A full second kinda makes a diff :rlaugh:

Low 11's and Heavy Vert will mean a good bit more of a challenge when trying to do it with an oem stock block ;)

Maybe you SHOULD think of more cubes or more forceful ways to get air/fuel in the motor :rlaugh:

btw ... low 12's is not too shabby and you can get there for a good bit less moola than low 11's ... if money is an issue

That's the power I'm talking about. Great link.

Grady, hopefully money won't be an issue since I would take it slow and buy the best whenever I do purchase something. Bigger cubes is definately an option, well not an option, IT'S A MUST. And while I'm at it, I would love to be running 10s n/a. That would be a dream come true.
