undefinedI have '65 coupe with a 1990 5.0 that's been built to 340 HP at the flywheel. I've also modified it to be a GT "clone". The modification in question deals with converting from the early Falcon style instrument cluster to a five gauge cluster found in the '65 GT and "Pony" interior cars. Using California Mustang's "Mustang How To Volume 1" tech article found on page 44 I sucesessfully modified my car to use the five gauge cluster. Due to recent budget constrants I recently horse-traded for a nice chrome 140 amp three wire internally regulated GM (Delco S10) alternator. I had someone tell me to "...just disconect everything from your old Ford 35 amp alt. and run a large gauge wire to the large positive post on the solenoid..." Well, this didn't work and nothing inside the car had power now and the ignition doesn't start the car. I just purchased a two-wire connector harness that plugs into the top of the GM alternator. Wire one is supposed to go to a switched power source and wire two goes to a battery source. Anybody who has done this conversion please clue me as to what I need to connect and/or reconnect. I miss driving my car!
