I have been saving up for some 18 inch wheels and tires, I have been doing as much research as I can and I found out that if I were to buy a Wheel/Tire package from lets say LMR, I can get this.........(2005-10 Black Sve Wheel And Tire Kit, 18X9 & 18X10 With A 36Mm Offset, Kit Includes 4 Wheels And 255/45/18 & 275/40/18 Simitomo Htrz Iii's) for 1,249.99 + 14.99 shipped.

Now heres the problem I ran into....I was talking to a Rep from SHR and he explained to me that I could buy those and be happy for a year or so and they would most likely start to deteriorate after that, he explained that (example) when SHR builds their Chrome fuel doors, they use $22.00 worth of Chrome on that part....and SHR fabs all their own parts built here in the good ole USA and Wheels like the ones LMR and AM sells are made in China. Now heres where I was given the wake up call.....if the Wheels that LMR and AM sells....say an 18x10 SVE Chrome wheel they sell for 199.99, How much does it cost the Manufacturer to make that wheel? maybe 100.00??? now on that 18x10 Chrome Wheel how much Chrome did they actually use? probably not much.....meaning, in a very short period they will most likely start peeling, flaking....or what ever happens to cheaply made Wheels.

I am not getting Chrome Wheels, I want Black Wheels and the guy from SHR said I might be ok getting a painted Wheel from LMR or AM opposed to a Chrome Wheel for the reasons I stated above, but, I have to be honest, I am a little worried about this now. I do not know if any of what I just typed will really happen or not, but, it does make perfect sense to me....you know the old saying......"You get what you pay for" The guy at SHR said I should be looking to spend at the very least $300 per wheel to be sure I'm getting a halfway quality wheel and preferably a wheel made in the USA, so I started doing some more research and I ran across "Godspeed Omega Wheels" I have not been able to call them yet and I do not know if they are made in USA....I found these Wheels they have 18x10 and 18x9 Deep Dish Black Chrome Wheels for $300.00 each (just the wheels).

Does anyone here know anything about Godspeed Wheels? Are they a good quality company that sells quality wheels?

Heres a pic of the Wheel I'm referring to. Any opinions/advice would be greatly appreciated as I'm going to be spending alot of $$$ on Wheels/Tires and I want to be sure I'm getting a quality product.

Thank you in advance.

Also the Godspeed 18x10 (rear) is +40 offset and the 18x9 (front) is +30 offset.....will that be ok for my 2006 GT opposed to the stock +45 Rear and +36 Front offset?

I have those exact wheels on my 2010 GT.. The wheels are great, but the finish is terrible..bon't buy them, i've had them for only 6 months and the color is starting to change, one of them is even turning red, no idea why or how, but my friend that owns a wheels store says its somethign to do with the black chrome process that if it isnt done right, they turn weird colors and eventually lose the finish altoghether, I love how they look and fit, just dont buy the black chrome finish from them at least...try the flat black..

This is exactly why I posted this question, to hopefully get first hand examples like you have given!! I was a bit worried when I read at Godspeeds website that the Black Chrome was "New" to their lineup.

Does Godspeed have flat black Wheels? I did not see any there, I did see a Deep Dish Black Wheel, but it had a Chrome lip, and sells for only 249.99 I think, I really want an all Black Wheel. However that Black and Chrome Wheel is Sweeeeeeeeeeet!!! But, for only 249.99 I worry about is that too cheap for a good quality Wheel?

Thank you Undisputed for your reply, I greatly appreciate it.

Heres the Wheel....18x10 $249.99

That finish seems like it would be more durable..lol..stay away from the black chrome, looks great when you get em, but, yeah, it's a temporary finish.. As far as the actual wheels ore concerned, they did balance out evenly, and well, and seem very good in terms of structural integrity, i track and street-drive my car HARD, and they haven't bent or givin me any issues! It's really just up 2 u which finish you get!

Just be aware that while Godspeed deep dish look incredible, they r not designed for larger brakes.

Thank you for that info mustangdave, at this time I have no intentions on getting bigger brakes, I dont know if I could ever save enough $$$ to afford them. I do have plans tho to just upgrade the brake pads to Hawk all the way around, anything has to be better than the horrible factory brake pads!!

Thank you again mustangdave.

Anyone know if you can throw the 18x10 Godspeed Omega wheel on the front? I know Roush outfits their cars with 18x10 all around but I don't know enough about the offsets (only 10mm difference) to make an educated guess.

I assume you'd have to run wider tires and thus would rub on some of the suspension components?

Those wheels or horrendous. Looks like the equivalent of ricing out a Honda, but just on a Mustang. Sorry, just my two cents, probably worth nothing... but those things hurt my eyes. The Mustangs are actually looking pretty good lately; those wheels just detract from a good looking car... really killing it.

Everyone has their own opinion on things, I've got nothing but compliments on mine, but hey, I'm old school 80's style, if its got 5 spokes and a deep dish I'm sold! Hahah! Not to mention these are the only 18" wheel in the industry with a 5+" lip that fit on a stock vehicle, I wanted dish, so I said "go big or go home". And, I refused to be like every1 else with the same damn wheels on the same damn cars, I like to be different!

LOL! TYPO, SORRY, __CAGE__ We will be going with. I am gonna take some good hi-res pics when we get the car back, it's @ the dealer for the Trans TSB, they arent happy about the blower, suspension or exhasut..but I'm hoping they still rebuild the trans w/ the better syncros as per the TSB even though my car is heavily modified... And, thanks, it looks better when the car isn't running a rear-lift-kit..lol Yeah, the black stang is slammmed..., and he still on the stock gt500 tires sizes, a 255-40-18" front and 295-35-18" or 305-35-18" rear would lower it another inch or so, but he wanted the bigger sidewalls, I like the slightly smaller sidewall look better personally. And the GT500 in the center is a 639 RWHP animal..lol

those wheels are nice, but yes, most definitely an 80's look IMO

I had some deep dish wire wheels on my Nissan Sentra way back in the day, kinda brings back memories lol

Godspeed is made over seas. I had to have one replaced because the finish started to come off. I got my from Cruzin Concepts and dealt with on the replacement. They say the wheels are guaranteed for three years.
