Well I officially peed myself.
I went to track this morning, left real early tomake sure I didn't have any problems. Got there nice and early (hour drive) and met with some really nice track people that gave me all the info I needed.
I took it upon myself to go talk to some track staff who were preping the track. The one guy talked to me forever letting me know the in's and out's which were extremely helpful. After he was done I introduced myself and found out that he was the tech guy in charge of inspections.
Well then I lined up for tech and the same guy was super nice and even complimented my car. I was flattered, especially coming from a guy who I thought would think I was just another wannabe racer.
I made my first run in the left lane against a drag only camaro with a 350 and 200 shot of NOS. Yikes! I didn't even pay attention to him and kept focused on my car.
My first run ever was a 13.27 @ 112.56 mph!!!!!!!! I pulled off a .7109 reaction with a brutal 2.2789 60ft.
I spun the entire 60 ft after launching at about 3000 on new but crappy street tires. My dad said he could hear me squak them hard going into 3rd gear.
I made 9 runs through out the entire day and no leaks or problems!
My 7th run was the best:
12.87 @ 111.36 mph with a .7570 and a 2.0709 60ft.
My best reaction time of the day was a .5010 and my best mph was 112.56 both on the first run of 13.27.
My last race summed up my day. I ran against a notch with slicks. I pulled off a .7779 reaction to his 1.0808 time. He absolutely slaughtered my 60ft with a 1.7380 to my 2.2301. I pulled hard to catch up but couldn't in the end running a 13.12 to his 12.95. I ran 110.28 to his 107.40mph. Great race!!! My street tires absolutely killed me.
Every run I spun the tires almost the entire first 40-60ft.
I need slicks or drag radials!!!!!!!!!!
