Well i started doing the gears in my car today after finishing the 24# injectors, pro-m mass air, 70mm tb, u/d pulley, electric fan and ac eliminator yesterday. The car felt way more responsive after just those things, so i can't even imagine what its going to be like going from 2.73's to 3.90's!!! haha anyone have 3.90's out there with similar setup? what do u run in the 1/4? how sick was the first test drive? im going to be finishing it up tomorrow so i cant wait!!

3.90's w/ a manual, might be a little tall. Your lible to run outa gear before the end of the 1/4. I woulda' went w/ 3.73's. Goin' from 2.73's you'll be sportin' major wood!!! Be careful!

Good luck though.

Probably the best seat of the pants upgrade you can get. If you are a little close to the limiter going through the traps, just by a little taller tire next time.

You will love them! You should have enough rpm to turn a good MPH in the 1/4. I had a friend with 4.10's in his and he was running 12.7 with a stock motor and LOTS of NOS!! At 4500' elevation, no less.....

You are going to have a blast. I remember when I went from 2.73's to 3.73, and like everyone else is saying, its the biggest SOTP mod. Driving the car will be much more enjoyable. And you should be fine in the 1/4. I know lots of guys with mods close to yours with 4.10's doing fine.

I love my 3.90's. Went from a car with 2.73's to this car with the 3.90's and it was amazing. Took me a while to get used to it, first is pretty short and before i knew it, i had to shift. Deffinetly the best mod you'll ever do.

when i had the AOD i had 2.73, then i went to 3.90s with the gay AOD and it was ok, you could feel it.

Once i did the t5 swap, better gear ratios in the t5, then i could really feel the difference.
the t5 swap made more of a difference then the gears did for me. they went hand in hand.
