Looking for suggestions on the best combo for intake and carb. I have a 289 that was rebuilt several years ago, nothing wild just basic refresfing of the engine components. Really like the price and looks of the Edelbrock products.

Thanks

My first suggestion is a 6-letter word that starts with "S" and ends with "H".

I await the inevitable witty comeback

Depends on where you want to go with the motor? Is this going to be all you will do to it? Do you want to build it up down the road with a hotter cam and heads? If you aren't going to build it up, make sure you get something that will work well with a lower rpm range. If you are going to build it up, then take that into account. I had an Edelbrock Performer RPM manifold and 600cfm carb on a motor before and after the cam/heads install, and it worked brilliantly both ways.

I have the Edelbrock Performer 289 intake with a Holley 600 CFM. No complaints,

Scott

Thanks guys. I am leaning toward one of the edelbrock manifold and carb combos from Summit.
