Given my mods...is it worth the trade to 24s at the moment??? Anyone got any numbers to support the change??? Gonna cost 115.00 to recal my MAF, I have the 24s already...i'm just curious if its worth it???

Im gonna re-dyno here real shortly and was thinking of leaving the 19s in then swap em over and see the change, HP wise...Motor wise I have what would be equal to a Cobra motor anyway, and they run 24s, so it makes sense to do it up...

Any thoughts....

I'd say go for it. Your making more engine horsepower than a Cobra is, so you're safe. How much FP are you running with the vac line off now? I've heard that you should change to a different injector if you are running more than 44 PSI with the vac line off. I'm not sure how valid that statement is, but it makes sense (somewhat) to me. Either way, I think you'd be fine.

My last dyno, with the Tmoss stock lower i was running 42 when i went in, we tuned it and found 38 was more and best power...thats with 14 deg best timing and the AF hovering 12.7 - 13

Im hopeful that slapping em in and tunig the FP will suffice??? dont want no headaches from the change, ya know...at best, i may go a JMS chip later in the Summer??? cars runs fine so i dont wanna frig that up....

You will have to tune the EEC or get a "calibrated" MAF if you swap in the 24# injectors, otherwise it'll run like crap. Fuel pressure is only a short term fix in any case.

You dont need 24's yet. You said your a/f was in the high 12-13.0 range, so thats fine. Dont send your maf in for a recal, buy a pro-m remote optimizer instead and tune it better. You can find them used on the net, I paid $85 shipped for mine. From what I have read, the eec can only adapt within a certain % of a change, sometimes it doesnt even adapt at all at wot. Fwiw, my friend runs 55psi FP with his 24's and his eec hasn't adapted his wot changes.

I got a Pro m 77 MAF for 24lb injectors and also 24lb injectors. I am not going with H/C anytime soon so if you want to trade MAF for MAF and Injectors for injectors then let me know.
