Going to the Dyno tonight for a tune.... :D Paul's auto Engr.

Had 280rwhp then went 347ci hoping for 320rwhp what do you think?

Much of the stuff you got on the 347 is small. A more aggressive induction (Edelbrock RPM Intake, 70 or 75MM TB, 80MM Maf, Powerpipe), exhaust (Long Tubes, X pipe) and custom cam will get you a lot more power. Hopefully you get your 320.
 
I think I said 310hp/350tq in your first thread. I'm guessing thats the most you'll see since the intake and cam are very small and so are the headers. TFS R intake, 90mm TB and an fti or jay allen cam and you'll be 400+ with those ported TW heads. You have the full flow/spec sheet on them? You'll need it when you call for your custom camshaft.

Ed just finished the specs on my cam. Trying to decide when to do it?? Just had it apart so might wait til summer. When the money is refurbished. :D

The intake, TB, MAF, etc. haven't decided what to do. :shrug:

Ed has already spec'ed the cam, along with Buddy Rawlins, the intake and TB I have thought about, also thought about having the Cobra intake extruded...

Congrats, very nice curves. The drop in highe4r rpm TQ/HP shows the limiting runner cross section.

What do the ported heads flow? If they flow more than 260cfm, then go to a different intake - RPMII, Holley, Track Heat or the like.

Here are the numbers I have for the heads. I don't really understand them.. Suggestions?? This is what I sent to the cam people..
I thought the drop was due to the cam??

Steve, those numbers are the head alone. I wouldn't EH a Cobra for those numbers - 192cc head wants a larger cross section intake. Try a RPMII, Holley, or Track Heat. I'm sure ED would recommend on of those too - ask him.

I told you that with the good stuff to match those good flowing heads the 300rwhp signpost would swiftly go outta sight in your rearview mirror.

A 347 stroker is most definitely a "good stuff" part :rlaugh:

Nice, I was about 10 off on my guess :D What intake are you planning and what are you goals? If you wanna stay mild, i'd use a rpm II or a holley with one of those cam grinders. Definatly use a 75-90mm TB and 1 3/4" longtubes.

Absolutely NOT! I can show you a graph of a n/a 347 makiing 415ish rwhp (ran high 10's more importantly) making a LOT more low end than you with bigger parts. He had a .600+ solid cam and a TFS R intake with ported afr 185's. Car made a lot more low end than your making. Bigger inches = the need for bigger parts to properly feed them.

75mm on a 347?

Your reputation for "bigger is better" is slipping.

I have some dyno testing of Chevy 350 long tubes that shows best HP/TQ was produced with 1 5/8" headers over 1 3/4" headers below 6,000 rpm. Same cubic inches and very similar power levels. Do your research before choosing the headers.
