Hey everyone, I got some info via the search and it seems we can fix the window motors using 3-1/4 inch nuts instead of replacing the gear with the stock plastic pieces, but Im wondering if removing the motor itself is difficult, Ive removed one on a 84 fox body and it was a piece of cake, but are they riveted on sn-95s? Any thing I should be aware of before I remove the panel? Thanks.

I did it a few months back and it took about an hour to do both. Removing and reinstalling the motors were easy.

I'd recommend putting platic bushings back in there - I'd feel horrible if I seel my car and down the road someone (especially a kid) got their arm caught in my window and got hurt. Plus I figured if the bushings I had lasted 10 years surely these new will last a while.

Yeah...You need to put the plastics ones in.. That's one thing that FORD actually did right, for the reason mentioned above....Other than that, it's pretty str8 forward.
