Wow... Don't think it's that fast, I have seen anywhere from 13.7-14.2 online... I guess depending on which track. I'm more interested to see if the k&n makes any difference.

Well, I may be way off. I based that on a SHO that ran true street in Atlanta last year. he averageD a 13.07 and was very consistant. I assumed he had a few small tweaks to it, but maybe he had more than I realized.

A tune, 3 bar map, 160 thermostat will get you high 12's all for about 800$

That's most likely what he had done

If your factory filter was not dirty or old, the K&N is not likely to net you anything. The new factory filters from Ford are very well made and flow nicely. There is no real benefit to the K&N now other than it is re-useable.

Not to play devils advocate here or anything.. are you sure they have a public test and tune Friday night? Typically the friday before the Outlaw races they do Pro Testing, it's worth double checking imho. I would hate to see you drive out there and not be able to test. Even if it is open to the public Friday night, I can assure you that it will be mobbed with baller race cars

Thank you, I always look.. Lol .. Don't like to go on a 45 minute cruise for no reason. Pro testing until 5 pm.. Grudge racing from 6-10:30.... But you are right, will prob be crowded.

We did a little street outlaw style racing tonight. The hard drive on the computer took a crap do we raced until 9:30 with a flashlight. Got 2 runs in. 13.503 @102.9, and a 13.533 @ 103. I am happy with the results. Both passes were with k&n 93 octane from bjs wholesale club

I was going to ask how you launched? Did you load the convertor against the brakes? I would assume that factory tuning is design to save drivetrain parts. I bet turning up the boost and a tune would make that thing an animal! Good time regardless.
