2nite is the first time ever that i am goin to run my car. what do u think i will run, the car is an AODE. mods are in my sig, and how should i launch it? and what can i take out to make the car lighter? or should i even take anything out? my tires are very sticky too...thanks

Turn OD off but do not manually shift it. Take out the spare, jack, trunk carpet, etc. Pump up the front tires to ~40lbs and lower the rear to ~25lbs. Try powerbraking it as well as "flashing" the converter and see which one yields the best times. Make sure you run the car as cold as possible. Don't idle the car any longer than you have to, run the heater on the return road, etc. Ice the intake between runs too. Where are you running at? Atco? E-town? Good luck and have fun.

Don't worry about reaction time, the clock does not start till you leave the line. Leave when you are ready. Don't get your hopes up the 1st time, you will more than likely be disappointed. Keep a log or write on the time slip what rpm's, tire pressure, shift points, bog or spin ect so you have some way of reproducing the results if need be. Change one thing at a time so you will know what works & what does not work. Have fun.
