ok so i picked up this new mustang mag cause it had a sweet lx coupe on the cover. after reading the article and staring at the engine for a bit i got real confused because this 302 based block had coil packs from a 96 to 98 gt and i thought well thats neat how hard could it be as i have plenty of 98 parts kicking around.

anyone do this or know where i can find a how to article i have searched many forums and come up short. any info would be apprecaited.

happy tuning :flag:

stand alone system and a crank position sensor will do it. check on corral. lots of people are doing it with LS2 coils and ford coils. I looked into it briefly before I decided it was way more than a daily beater would need/require and the juice just wasnt worth the squeeze. the LS2 coils seemed to be the preferred coil as they had a better capacitor or resistor (cant remember exactly what) that made them stand out over all the other coil packs out there.

i was just reading on corral about this today, guys are using the AEM EMS standalone with LS1 coils, like said about, its gonna be overkill on a mild motor.
