Ok there is a shop here in Youngstown, Ohio that has a new Mustang brand dyno. I can get an hour on it with the wideband o2 setup for 150.00.I thought it might be a little expensive, but oh well. I have a Diablo chip that came with the car when I bought it. I removed the chip, because i could not run above 10* of timing without detonation.Without the chip I could run around 13* before starting to notice pinging. Car seemed to run better without chip, at least more torque. So my questions are how would you setup for a dyno tune? Should i install the chip and back down the timing a bit to start, or run without the chip first and then try to put it in after a pull or two? How much more HP can that chip really make? This is in my 94 cobra, here are my mods:351W roller Trick flow cam (stage1). GT40 lower and a downs box upper, 30LB injectors, Edelbrock heads, 1.6 roller rockers, 80mm mass air, 70mm TB. I believe my compression is around 10 or 10 1/2 to 1. because I run 94 octane and can still only run around 13* of timing. What do you think I can expect for HP and Torque? I know it will be a bit lower on the Mustang Dyno compared to a Dynojet but about how much difference is there? Thanks.....Phil. Sorry for such long posts. Also I have an adjustable F/P regulator.

Did the all the mods come with the chip? If not, then just forget the chip. You will probably make around 310rwhp on the mustang dyno.

What made you go with a TFS stage I cam?

This guy (289cobrajet) on the corral will make over 400HP to the wheels with his 351W. Went 12.10 at 117.

My combo is basic, Balanced lowerend, forged crank, sportman I beam rods, SRP pistons 10 or 10.2:1 CR, Comp Cams XE274, Edelbrock victor jr stock out of the box heads, TFS R intake, 75 MM elbow and Throttle body, Pro M race aluminum 77mm MAF, scorpion Roller Rockers 1.6 ratio, A9L computer(stock, going to Larocca's for tune soon), AFM 4" power pipe, Kooks full length 1 3/4" headers, 3" X-pipe, 5 speed, 3:73 gears, last fall I dyno at 381 RWHP before the Header, Maf, Injector, and TB upgrades so who knows where I am now, my track weight is just shy of 3700 lbs...

Everything except the edelbrock heads. I had some well ported GT40's on there when the chip was in. Thanks for the reply. I went with the stage 1,basically for cost reasons and that I originally was going to run Trick flow heads.I was worried about P/V clearances.
