So any suggestions? I am gonna change my tune to switch the shifts to "race" and adjust my 1-2 shift as the RPMs are too high right now.
I dont have an LSD so I wont be doing a burn out. I have tried it too many times and what happenes is when I stage both wheels will spin for a second or two and then when one starts spinning a little faster the other stops and just does the one wheel peel. I wont do the burn out cause then one tire will be hot and hook better so the car will just spin the other tire. If I just launch when they are cold I will get tire spin on both wheels for 10' then it will hook instead of lighting one tire all through first gear

So what should I put the gear selector in? Drive? Second? Its only an 1/8th mile track so the car wont get to third gear (2-3 is at 90mph@WOT) I dont think. If it did then its one hell of a sleeper ;rlaugh:

Its a notoriously slow track. It has ZERO prep and is rough but I am curious and I want to go race with my buddy before he goes into the military on Monday. He ran a 9.5 with his 03 GT and even LS1 Camaros only run in the 9's there. Hell my buddy took his 04 Cobra there and after 10 runs could only manage a 10.08

The one thing I have learned is you have to baby the car down the track. So you want to make the shift points kinda gentle. Or do a great smoky burnout.

You are right about the launch...a non-LSD with that much HP blows!
