are you set on buying a 9" rear end? Because you can make the 8.8 just as strong. Currie is very good, too bad they dont come with c clip elimintors.

oh btw did you find a 351w block at the junkyard?

not yet, mainly cuz i work swing, and i can only look on weekends. i gto the money in my account for the block, stroker, and im working on the rear axle now.

what would it take to make my 8.8 just as strong? i was thinking detriot 31spline diff. with my 3.27 gears, and i also wanted to get the cobra r brakes kit from 50resto.com

to make it just as strong you can do what I did.

I got the following:
Moser 31 spline c clip elimantor axels
Eaton 400 Posi
3:73 Gears
Rear Cover
Cutt off stock backing plates for 9" backing plates for a beefier axel
Gaskets, bearings etc

it cost me a bit but it was worth it she's really strong, and has 9" axels. I would just have your 8.8 built up.
