Anyone know of an alignment shop that won't charge me anything just to take a look at my steering? I need an alignment, but if it turns out the car needs new tie rods, ball joints, or whatever, I would want to replace the parts myself and then get it aligned afterwards. I can probably figure out if anything needs replacing by myself, it'd just be a lot easier to have someone who knows what to look for check it out...

I have a feeling I at least need tie rods b/c my toe is way off on both tires and I have a wander at freeway speeds... not sure if it's inners or outers though.

The best shop I've found is Dabney's Wheel Alignment in Vancouver. Very good with all the basics and more. Do lowering and suspension mods. A lot of the local circle track and drag racers go there for race setups. Easy to get to from Portland on I-5. 1013 West 8th St. 360-694-5222.

hands down the best alignment shop around is carls alignright on st. johns in vancouver!! how many shops do you see exotic cars in almost all the time! he is the best and if i remember right he wont charge you to take a look at it to see whats wrong, but if he fixes it then he's spendy!!! but hey what do you want a les schwab alignment or a quailty alignment?? peace
