hello everyone. i've got a 65 coupe with a 2v 289, cruiseomatic auto, 3:1 open diff...all stock. i was looking to put a 351W in and was wondering if this would be a good block to start from.

or would i be better off finding an engine from the local pick and pull?
the car is a daily driver and will see the strip at least once a month during the season. all your help is highly appreciated. thanks a lot.

I don't know how experenced there people are, but assuming that motor is put together correctly, thats a good price. I would think the pick-n-pull rout would be a bad idea if you haven't built a motor before (your first engine rebuild shouldn't be a race motor). Also, do you understand the space issues with placing a 351 in a 65 coupe?
