If it is authentic. Get the motor checked, leak down test, CARFAX and do test drive (into boost) .... then, I'd say 19K isn't too bad.

Im not sure that Id buy a car that was making 513 hp on a stock block, and if he tells you it did that on 8psi, he's lying. Have it thoroughly checked out before ANY exchange of cash.

thats because the car isnt making 500 hp's ......... more like 360-380. i think the guy just wants to sell the car and 500 horsepower sounds appealing to newbies

Hey im definitly not a newbie to horsepower ! lolol. Im thinking the guy went with a higher boost when he did the dyno, but dropped it back down for engine longevity. That is what i am thinking. But who knows i guess. We will check everything out before buying.

ask for dyno sheets. 500rwhp on the stock block, let alone stocker internals (saleen uses the same internals as a GT) is bull****.

Even 500 flywheel hp isnt believable at 8 psi, and the mods mentioned.

That car is not making 500hp+ PERIOD. You can't just "up the boost" for a dyno, it would require a full retune and the time to change the pulley would be pointless (removing the belt, which requires the removal of the entire blower bracket).... Plus, 500 on stock block with just lots of boost = not likely. Offer 18,500. Personally I would only offer 17,000 as I'm not interested in the saleen body kit

Sorry I have to call crapola on that! Thats a whimpy saleen base model, with a 6-8lbs vortech on it...with a pretty stock looking motor 330hp at the wheels TOPS. It doesn't even have a power pipe added. If the guy is gonna lie about the HP on that car, I wouldn't trust anything else he had to say....DON"T BUY IT, find something more reputable. Betcha 5$ its been wrecked

Something fishy about that car. But 19k for a Saleen with 20something thousand miles, not too bad. But I'd always wonder what the deal with that car is though.
