Good mods for a dd??

well i do like hp but i got to take gas milage into account too, anyone know the milage drop when u get a super charger?

Also any other mods with prices would help me alot in picking the right ones.

Already got o/d pulleys, flow masters(thinking of getting magnaflow because my flows are wearing out), and thats about it to my engine.

if tuned correctly, a supercharger won't hurt mileage that much. Problem comes when you put your foot into it and get into the boost.

Mufflers won't add any power on your car. I'd start with a set of 3.73 gears(might lose 1-2mpg) and a set of longtube headers.

I think he mentioned daily driver. Get a Kenne Belle if you have $6000 laying around (if you do, you should have bought a Cobra instead). If not, 3.73 gears, subframe connectors, an aluminum driveshaft, and a tuner would get your ride tightened up a lot for less than $1000.00 if you can do some basic work yourself.

Subrames, gears, short throw if its a stick, build the suspension a little, and throw some spray on it, also don't forget a tuner

Not so much about power increase but overall performance improvement, a good progression that won't cost too much might be:

1. maintenance up to date - doesn't make sense to mod your car when some basic maintenance needs done.

2. drop-in K&N filter and remove silencer - ultra easy, ultra-cheap, gotta start somewhere.

3. shifter - easy to install, much better than stock, and you'll enjoy it EVERY time you drive.

4. subframe connectors - should be the beginning of any suspension upgrade.

5. tuner - sets you up for future mods, like...

6. exhaust - midpipe for sure, and...

7. GEARS (you could move this to the top of the list with little disagreement from the Stangnet crowd).

+1, This is what you will want for a DD and also the aluminum driveshaft. When all said and done you might be around 260+rwhp.

i average about 15 to 16mpg with my car. 2.1l kb blower and 3.73 gears. I am pretty rough on it too. but then i cruise a lil too and then i think it evens out. highway i get 22mpg. i only hit boost like twice when i did that lol that was merging on and running 3rd out.

gas mileage doesnt drop a whole lot but boost is too much fun. and lets face it its hard not to give the gas a lil love tap lol.

IMO, he's in school, and from what I can tell he doesn't want to spend that much money....so I would have to say pass on the blower.

some good bang for the buck mods:

4.10's $350-$4XX(depending on the install)

Full length Subframes $130ish and $60-$1XX (again, depending on the install)

Shifter (MGW, IMO) $200 you can do the install, and your going to be driving it every day; so its well worth it

Exhaust (maybe a little power, but mainly for the sound, so your ears have to find the right setup for you. price range varies....

LOL So Basically +2 for......

a kenne bell 2.6 gt would eat up a cobra so i don't agree with that statement but i would go for gears if i was you but don't expect all those parts for 1000 bucks like mentioned and gears are not a basic do it yourself job,or should i say at least the correct way.gears will be the most niticeable for the money.
