Highest rpm I see is on 1-2 shift which is 6400, 2-3 is at 6350 and 3-4 is at 6300. No need for me to rev it higher as horsepower is falling off just after 6100 with stock heads and I suppose intake also.

im running ported NPI heads, and as of right now the stock pi intake, but i have the edelbrock intake waiting to go on, im hoping that will help it rev higher, currently my power slowly falls off after 6k, but still makes about 295rwhp at 6300.........

People forget that car weighed 3100# with the driver on that pass. Very few people are willing to gut their car for those numbers.

I'm running 8.0 in the 1/8th (I think that is around a 12.5) with horrible suspension, 150lbs in stereo equipment in my trunk, a 275/35/17 Mickey Thompson drag radial and no weight reduction parts what so ever. I am also running completely N/A. I think low 12's to high 11's is possible in a NA stang...it would need a wholeeeee lot of work though.

Yea if you search the net on that car running 12's on youtube, he has ALOT of suspension and NOT alot of weight. He can also drive his car too.

My old car had basically the same mods and 50#'s more weight than that car and went 11.97 @ 113.

Glad to hear you are going n/a life is just a lot simpler that way. I think post #13 really sums up the way forward the best. Except for the nitrous cause that's cheating
