good tire size for 15x8 draglite??

What back spacing do you have on those wheels? If they're 4.5" backspace then you'll have trouble with the tires rubbing the fender lip with the 275's. If you've got 5.5" backspace the 275's will be REAL close to hitting the stock fender lip also. I run 5.5" backspacing with 235-60's and my tires clear the stock fender lip with less than a 1/4" to spare. I didnt want to have to hammer on my fender lip so opted for the slightly smaller tire.

its an 8 inch rim with 5.5 backspacing.
a 255 tire is about 10 inches wide. so it would stick out 1 inch on each side.
i test fit the rim on the car, wheel sits nicely under the car and clears everything, i think i will have to take off the quads to clear a tire. i am not sure, maybe someone with a similar setup would know?

You might have to remove the quads, i had 265/50/15 BFGs on my 15x8 draglites with 5.5" BS and i had no rubbing, they looked cool, and i didnt have to trim my wheel well lip or anything. BUt i did have to remove the quad shock. The only rubbing i had was inside the wheel well, but i had lowering springs on it then, i stuck the stock ones back in and had no problems. But im steppin up to some 275/50s next. But look in to the 265s, i got them from summit! i got a lot of compliments on how it looked with them, just wide enough to be fat, and they were perfectly even with the outside of the quarter panel wheel well lip. Like i said, i had 265/50s, on the 15x8 rim, with 5.5BS and they didnt stick out past the body. hope this helps!

275s should fit fine. The tires on the red hatch (friend) posted above did rub the fenders with 4.5" backspacing, and barely grazed them once in a great while with 5.5" That was on ET Streets. I believe they don't rub at all since he switch to BFG drag radials, which are 275s as well.

Yep, I run 5.5" bs with 275/50 bfg dr's now and they dont rub at all on the outside. Sometimes the will rub abit on the inside if Iam at the right angle but just barely, nothing to be worried about. I also have no quads.

thanks for all the help. i will probably need to take off the quads. assuming they are the stock pair they dont do much anyways. plus i plan on aftermarket control arms for the rearend soon anways. so it'll be good.
