I won't know what to do if this happens again. Some have told me to hit the deer, and others said hitting the deer could be worse. I guess I'll have to try it and see lol.

Well, go find that picture of a deer's torso sticking through the windsheild of a car, and I think you will find you did the correct thing.


As far as the insruance, doubt they will give you crap about the parts. Can't really control a deer jumping infront of you.

dude buy a Terminator!!!! Sonic Blue FTW! just the other week an 04 Mystichrome went for $20,100 with no reserve on ebay, with 32,000 miles on it. I was $100 bid away from winning that car...someone bid in the wee hours of the morning while i was sleeping.

it's a still a 50/50 shot if you hit it or swerve... a deer or a tree can total a car just the same... but i think had ya just hit the deer the rubber would still be planted on the road... but you can "what if...." all day long and the fact is you never really know.. so just be glad you're okay and that the insurance will be able to help with the situation

Dude thats why I hate ebay When there is something I want Ill enter the absolute maximum I would get it for. If I am thinking 20K for instance, then I would think about that little extra push it would take and would put 20,800. Might of still lost but too many times ive missed out by a buck when I knew in the back of my head I would gone a little more
