Got a new engine and f***ed up 1 cylinder in 2 days...

When you say the resembled the engine, did they verify the bent vavle didnt damage the head? They would have to have put in a new valve, retainer, etc etc in the head depending on the damage.

a burnt valve can happen from lack of fuel all the way to a exhaust leak on the headers.

ohh and what kind of intake manifold do you have?

Supposely they put new valvles and retainers and "everything" inside the heads... I have stock intake manifold, the new model that comes with the aluminum front, not plastic.
 
soo that cylinder isnt getting enough fuel or the tune is running it soo lean that is burning up the valves.

Take off the chip and use the stock ecu. You dont have enough mods to worry about the stock ECU breaking anything.

So your suggestion is take the chip off, take the car up to steeda, let them do a dyno and according to the results re-burn the diablo chip and then i can put it back? or shouldnt i use it any more...?

Yea we can say its new (rebulit), ok so take the chip off, drive 500 miles, take it up for tunning. wont the stock ecu be affected by the 85mm maf and the fuel pressure regulator? Thank You for your help man!

Any other suggestions anybody?

During engine operation, each injector is opened for a period of time determined by the computer, the computer however can not control fuel pressure (unless you have a remote fuel pressure servo). If you purchase an adjustable fuel pressure regulator you MUST (in our opinion) also purchase a fuel pressure gauge (or you can't see your adjustments!) . Both are VERY simple to install and "very" easy to use (and cheap, both for under $200). We've installed the gauge on the fuel rail in the engine compartment so we can always check fuel pressure at a glance. Generally, you'll want to lower your fuel pressure from the factory setting (around 39 psi) to 30-32 Psi to give you a richer mixture at high RPM's for some extra bang.

Taking much advise from that site, no wonder you have problems. do not lower your fuel pressure. :nono:
 
You need to find a reputable shop that can build you a solid engine and dyno tune it for you. Quit reading BS stuff from Mustang World and stop f#%@ing around with parts that are not correct for your car. My engine was built and tuned my Modular Powerhouse and came with a 12 month warranty. They put it on the dyno and check the tune before every race. :hail2: MPH.

How am i supposed to know that mustang world its all b********?? thanks god i never followed any of their advices.

there isnt any reason to sell it. Just keep the MAF until you upgrade everything else. the stock MAF is good for the amount of power you are making. Any larger just gets you into more hassles and it could slow down air velocity coming into your intake.

stick with the stock MAF.

How com steeda said it could be perfectly calibrated with no problems? :S Im like between the sword and the wall, you guys have knowledge and steeda also have knowledge. I just dont want any more burnt valves :bang: :fuss:
 
because steeda is full of ****. They are over priced money hungry full of themself corporation.

it can be calibrated but it wont give you any power over the stock MAF. You have a stock engine, the stock engine needs the stock MAF. 80mm would be the highest I would go. Even that is too large.
