Hi guys. I was following my bro and he decided to speed up. I am not familiar with PA roads and didn't want to get lost and sped up to keep up with him. He later said he was just testing out his rental or something and wasn't going to do it for long. About 20 seconds later he slowed down and I caught up to him and slowed down too. We were on York route 30.
Then about 15 seconds later, we see a cops lights flashing and he pulls us both over. Another cop clocked my bro from a bridge at 86.2 MPH in 55 Zone and said even though they didn't get me with the gun, I was cited for the same speed being too close to him.
So..what happens next in terms of the "magistrate?" If I pleade guilty with an explanation, do they give me some points off or fine off? Or do you have to plead not guilty for that? I know my points won't transfer to MD already cause I checked with a MD State Trooper. PA is so tuff, they inform your INSURANCE company! Not sure if they do that to someone living in MD but anyway, I'd like to get it reduced...Can I do that pleading guilty or no? I don't have time for a court date and time is more important to me thatn pleading guilty or not. Thanks guys.
p.s. I really do not drive like that all the time. I had my GT and other cars up to speed but once in a while and less now. I usually do like to hit it from a start though up to the speed limit or withing 12 MPH..
