a;;right dude. im only 15 and still learning. ok? i figuired i would just go the full mile and get 41 and then could run slicks down the road once i get my tranny done and NEVER have to worry abotu breaking anything...

15!?! I'm impressed that your even brave enough to try gears. Keep at it.
I agree with you. I would rather over build now than run a higher risk of having to rebuild later when I do something stupid like build a stroker. Oh wait I just built a stroker. Your doing the right thing if you intend to keep the car for very long. Once you feel those gears you will be desperate for more power!
As far as the gasket goes I have not had any problems with mine after about 25k miles. I did use sealant. I did not put the stock cover back on though, instead I used one of the aftermarket covers. Stronger, Stiffer, and more fluid volume. The extra thickness of the aftermarket cover is probably the biggest influence on the case not leaking. I wish my tranny was sealed as tight as the dif.

THANKS MAN! yea, i did all of my other mods myself too :) I think im gonna save for a rear diff. cover. and then down the road get a c-clip elim. kit if i need it for $150. thanks for the reaplies! :)

:stupid: You'd be amazed how fast a stock motor can be with a good rear with gears... good drag suspension and a nice auto with a brake and a nice converter.

Are you trying to rip me? I never said gears would make a car slower. What gives?

I must say that it depends on where you want to be fast. I rode in a friends 11sec car, and was blown away when the car launched. That car could only go in a straight line though. Just depends on what your goals are. The only downside I see to gears is fuel economy.

Were you the guy that was doing the radiator upgrade before the crash?
If so how did it go?
It's kinda off topic so maybe it should move to another thread.

Thanks a lot!!!!!!! ya man, im gonna do the rear then just save for tranny. i have a few mods on the motor, once i get my license im gonna put on my black magic fan, subframes and gauges then do my whole rear. then save for trans. once i get that done, suspension mods, then ditch the quads so i can get bigger tires when i need them.
once i get that it will make the engine mods that much better when i start modding it again because i can actually hook :)
