Got hosed in Stangnet classifieds.

Bought a TCI Super street fighter 10" non-lock-up converter off of the classifieds. Paid $200.00 plus shipping. Got a 11" lock-up converter (brand unknown) Guy won't come clean. BEWARE: There is a FUNGUS AMONG US!!
cobragt347 is a SCAMMER! buy nothing from him. :damnit:
It is a shame that people like him make it hard for Real Mustang & Ford guys, to do their thing and have fun at it. Just set my project back a step. Nobody's fault but my own. I tried to cut a corner, save a buck and buy a used part to get the thing running sooner. THANKS BUDDY!

Hate to hear about bad deals like this GearHead.... ....I bought a front coil-over kit from the same person and everything seems to be ok with it. Hopefully you can get it resolved since what you bought/got and what was advertised seem to be two different things???... .....

Putting out the word on a scammer is all of our business, tech or not. You knew it wasn't truly tech when you read the title of the post. If it annoyed you that much, you shouldn't have read it.

I for one as a Moderator do not think this is whining. This kinda crap is everyones concern, this is basically theft the way I see it.

You paid for something, & get something totally diffrent.

man that sucks, but i know how you feel. over a year ago i bought a "freshly rebuilt T5 with zero miles on the rebuild" off of a guy named pita***(dont remember the numbers) and not only did it take him over a month to get it to me, when i got it in my car, i find out all of the syncro's are shot. i had to drive around grinding the gears and not being able to put it into 3rd AT ALL for a month while i saved up to buy a rebuild kit and rebuild it. made me mad.

Luckily I haven't beenn ripped of in all the MANY times I buy used parts. If you buy off Ebay, then you can take it up with Ebay, which is better than off the forums or something. And always ask a lot of questions before oyu buy, and if it's an important, ask more than once!

Dude,,, i don't think anyone in here was laughing at the guy who got ripped off, I personally was laughing at the guy (4dStang) who was making a foolish coment about this poor guy trying to warn others about a bad seller.. And the "shut it up" thing is a bit rude. sorry... but it is

i dont think that was directed at you. i read you response and basically thought you were supporting GHB (the guy, not drug). the LOL icon things at the top kinda threw me (would have probably helped if you had quoted the post you were directing that at), but your thumbs up under the endorsement quote (by GT Rocks) was supportive (why else would you post that of you werent being supportive). thats my take on it.

that said (that the MSTANG was not addressing you [i dont think]), i think it is great that he (MSTANG) stepped in. it's great, IMHO, that he is going to bat for GHB. otherwise GHB is hanging out to dry. think if you were in GHB's shoes, you would want peer support and support from S.N. admin. kudos to MSTANG for stepping in and offering help in whatever capacity possible.

i wish the best of luck to Gearheadboy. i hope that the issue is resolved. i hope if im ever in your situation, people support me. and if im in that situation, i hope MSTANG (and/or other mods/admin) step(s)up for me, and does tell people to keep non supportive comments to themselves.

BTW, GHB, im glad you posted this in tech. the tech people are the ones whom are more likely to buy parts (i dont read talk hardly ever). so even though it was a talk type topic, you placed it in the appropriate forum, IMHO.
