Well, it's finally happened. Sold my '04 Mach, got my '06 GT today! Vista Blue premium with 5 speed. Bullets, Shaker 500, dark charcoal, and tinted windows.

Should have made this switch long ago........this new car is completely different in every way!!

Dead on! I recently had an '04 MACH 1. Very nice, very fast. Buy my '05 make the '04 feel like an antique.

I wouldn't go back now, no way. This new platform is great, I think that when more people experience it, it will become even more popular than it is now. I don't care that I went from a specialty Mach to a "normal" GT. It's that much better.......!

I couldn't tell you, because I got mine off the lot. Someone here knows though, I'm sure.

I would say your looking at about 1 month before you get your car. Mine was serialized sept 10 and the build date is oct 3rd and delivery is about 1 to 2 weeks after. give or take.

I resisted getting rid of the MACH. I bought it after production ended so all that was left was a used auto. National search turned up nothing. Well the auto would break the rear loose when it banged 2nd- stock. Pretty sweet. But . . . tom281 . . . I agree that the new platform is a huge improvement. I drove the 05 while just visiting a lot with a friend. It wa the last 05 they had. Got it under sticker and more for my trade than I paid for it (bought it used with 1200 miles on it).

No doubt- my Mach was an auto too. I put a C&L complete kit, Predator, Borla exhaust, and 4.10 gears in it. It would scream thru first and into 2nd strongly. It was a great car, but it's just not comparable in my opinion. I've driven my new '06 more in that last 2 weeks than I drove my Mach in 2 months- really! The new car is so much more comfortable, stable, and with it having the 5speed manual, it's almost as quick stock as my Mach was modified. And, I don't miss putting 91 octane in the Mach, and hiway cruising at 2800 rpm because of those gears. 87 octane and 2100 rpm is much better now...........!
