I'm not real good at this but isn't that because sticker for his car had a market value markup? I think invoice for his car is 24,138. I think he paid closer to msrp. no

I went to Ford.com, and with the options he's got, I can price out an '05 and get the real MSRP of the car to $30,105. Not additional markup, but Ford's MSRP for the car. At that same MSRP, the Ford site says invoice should be $27,873. Which is nearly identical to the MSRP/Invoice that Johnny posted.

I think Johnny got an excellent deal, since it appears that he did get "invoice" price on the car. It's certainly better than MSRP!

I think you'll be happy with your Mustang, but you got screwed over pretty bad.

Johnny got a great deal on the car. In no way, shape or form did he get screwed based on the deal. Now, if you're considering that he didn't get the exact car he would have ordered, then that's a different issue. From a purely financial standpoint, he made out like a bandit on the car he did get!

lolllll thanks Jfisher,,,,,,,Yea i really didnot want the Shacker 1000 or the Auto but l am very happy with it.Only problem i am having is that the AC is not blowing cold air in for some reason.I will have the dealer look at it on monday. And the Shaker 1000 takes up half of the trunk lolllllll.Car does sound good.
Hope you all get the Stangs that you want but first call everywhere and see if they will give you it at Invoice.Never thought I would get it for a Stang Gt on a LOT.Sometimes its better then waiting for something that might not come in.......JohnnyT

Definitely ... TAKE A BEATER!! I can almost guarantee you that some low-life piece of #$%@! would vandalize your car.

Wish I was going, The Crue is one of my favorite bands

So let me get this straight, you paid 28,000 for a car that you did not really want but are happy because you got 2000 dollars off. On the other hand if you had paid MSRP for the car you really wanted you would have paid 28,000. Were you just out to get the best deal or the car you wanted????

Just to let everyone know, xplan is within close to a hundred dollars of invoice. What sounds really fishy is that the dealer would give up an xplan to sell at invoice....The dealership would actually make more money if they would have sold at xlan. Where was your xplan coming from?

Well I really wanted Black because I have a 2003 Stang Gt now that is red,.but I was thinking while my order was in that black really gets dirty and it will show scratchs....
I liked all the colors except Lime Green and the Light Blue.
You are right I would have been happy if the car had a Manual trans.and a shacker 500 instead of the shaker1000.
And I would have saved maybe another $1000 or so dollars the other way staying with the X-Plan.
But was very annoying to know that I was the first one that ordered a Stang Gt at my dealer early July and I also havd a Priority# 10 and the salesmanager said he had the allocations and I would have it in Sept.
And then last week went online went to the fords web site and saw a car that I wanted but it was a automatic at the ford dealer that ordered from.
I called the dealer and he told me he puched my Priority up so I will get the car soon. But still he had no Vin# for me and the Ford 800# said C/U....
So I felt since I know that theres a Mustang Gt about 40 mins from me and if i don't get it somebody else will, and i could not passup the Invoice price too.
I am sure most of you would have done the same thing if that car was on the lot.
So I have a really cool looking silver stang Gt with Red Interior with a nice audio system and all the goodies that goes along with the car.
an I am kinda glad now that I didnot get the Black stang...........JohnnyT

Well i went to the dealer thinking I was going to get the X-Plan.
When I went to the dealer I showed him my order form from the other dealer that i was ordering it from showing the X-Plan number
But the salesmanager said screw ithe X-Plan and he said he'll give me the car at INVOICE.
I felt maybe He could not give me X-Plan because it was on another car that was being ordered at the time?and yes i think that they could have got a lot more for the car, because the car was there only a few days and while i was waiting for the paper work two other people were interested in seeing the car.
The Saleman that was waiting on me and a few others could not beleave he was giving me the car at that price.
And like the salesmanager said
He Only Wanted To Make A SALE.Crazy Huhhhhh..........JohnnyT

Well Johny was telling us all a few months back that he wasn't going to order for msrp and wait till this fall and pick one up below mrsp. So I think the deal was more inportant than the car he wanted.

I think it was the Car and the Deal......
My 1995,2000 and 2003 Mustang Gts were bought on the Fords car lot and so has my 2006.....This was my first car i ever ordered because i was reading back months ago of how hard it was to get a Stang Gt,and every Stang Gt i saw was MSRP or over.So to me its no big deal,I got a few Extras options but thats really no big deal since I got the car at invoice.and as I said before most of your would have done the samething, why wait for something that might not come in........
I am sure this is the first new car many you are buying and trying to tell me i made a mistake and should have got what i wanted in the first place.
To me it does not really matter and i still will never buy a car at sticker or over. Yuk Yuk Yuk JohnnyT
