Hey guys i had my GT dynoed yesterday ... and I peaked at 240 RWHP at 278 Torque.. I was hoping to get those numbers considering that i only had a cold air intake and accufab plenum with 70mm TB... my goal is to try to get it at 300 Hp if not close to it.... any suggestions on what else to grab for mods?

mid pipe
after that, I'd save for gears, tires, and a blower.

full exhaust will free up a lot of HP! GEARS are a must, don't think they add power but it feels like bolting on about 50hp! There's a billion boltons for these cars.

i doubt you will hit 300 rwhp with just bolt ons, but i would suggest long tubes cams and the rest of the bolt ons

Decent numbers for not having any exhaust mods yet.

If you want to flirt with 300rwhp N/A you will need L/T and cams. Vt stage 2 cams on a stock 00 gt gained about 25-30 rwhp abouve 3500 and even more at 6000. 300rwhp is very possible n/a but not cheap.

I am assuming that you have a manual transmission. When stock, these dyno around 218 rwhp. That means that you've added 22 rwhp with just intake mods. That's great! A mid-pipe will give you another 8-10 rwhp, while LT headers will gain 15-20 rwhp. The catback exhaust will be around 6-8 rwhp. This totals an additional 29-38 rwhp. A dyno tune with a performance chip might squeeze out another 8-10 rwhp. Assuming the best, you could gain an additional 38 rwhp, putting you at 278 rwhp. To see 300 rwhp, you will need either p/p heads or a custom cam, preferrably both. But now you are talking major bucks. I dynoed at 250 rwhp with my extensive mods (see signature below). It would have been 260 rwhp if I had a manual transmission.

My stock 03 GT 5 speed made 231 rwhp when bone stock. If his was the same, he gained 9 rhwp from the intake mods, not 22. Big difference.

I have a Mac Cold Air Intake.... Also I was told by the guy that was doing the dyno .... since my car is brand new (1800 Miles) 04', he said that the car may add more HP once the motor is broken in ... like about 5000 miles... My next mod would be a bassani Catback and X-pipe, i was gonna do underdrive pulleys but i heard its bad to have in the long run.. im hearing that the motor doesnt last long with it, so im hesitating about that ... but .. cams are must, and some exhaust... thanks Guys!!
