Hey guys I've got my pi heads and intake sitting here in the floor waiting to be installed . I bought the intake from mustangtuning.com, so I know it's good. I bought a set of 2003 heads from ebay with 30k miles on them and fully assembled except for the rockers and lifters. I don't know how to tell the difference between pi and npi heads, so here are some pics of the exact heads that I bought. Can someone please verify that these are PI heads for me?

And one more question.....can I use my stock rockers and lifters? Or do I need new ones.

It should say on them somewhere the serial number with PI somewhere in the name too in case you are paranoid...

Thanks a lot for the help guys. I just opened up the box to take a second look and it does have "PI" in the serial number, and rectangular ports. Now it's time to start saving for the stg. 1 cams and the labor at Modular Depot which, by the way, I visited last weekend and almost started crying because it was so beautiful.

Oh one more question, how much hp should I have to the CRANK after installing the PI parts with stg. 1 comp cams? I'm hoping for 300 hp to the crank.

OH and how about the question about the rockers and lifters? Do I need them or can I just used the stockers?

You should be close to 300 to the crank. You need some bolt-ons like LT's, O/R mid-pipe, UDP and you should easily be above it. I would take the composite race knob out of your signature as a mod though, now that u have some real mods.

stock are fine, they swap over...whats a stage 1 comp cam? are you talking about a 262ah? I'd say with the PI swap and cams you'll be in the 270rwhp area.

I'm talking about the basic after market "street" edition comp cams. I guess they are 262ah. But wow 270rwhp is a lot more than I was expecting. It'll be great to see my stang go from pig to beast in a span of a couple days.

just noticed you don't have a mid pipe yet, i'd suggest getting one cause after the swap thats gonna be the cork..also an upper plenum/tb combo will help breathing. Once you get the PI head/intake on and comp cams. Just about every bolt on will add HP because of the new ability to flow air. 270 may be alittle optimistic until you get the high flow mid pipe. Also some long tubes will really help.

Yea I thought I might need a mid-pipe. Looks like I've got one more thing to save up for.
