got new tires, how are they?

Are you mounting them on your stock 17x8 rims? Let me know how they ride...some don't like the steering with the 275's up front but others say its fine. I will be shopping soon and still deciding on sizes.

i think i have 17x9 ... i have the optional 17" 5-Spoke Bright Wheels which look like the cobra wheels from before, but with the pony center cap. i think the cobras were 9" .... not sure though. so far i like them.

that you could have gotten better for less money
I do think that Michelin is a reputable brand. Not to sound ricerish, but they are used in F1, and if you go to Europe, a lot of sports cars have them.

As far as cost/benefit value, it depends on how much he got them for.

$1500 mounted & balanced, plus all the fees, and a free replacement warranty.

wow like i said before Michilen makes good stuff no doubt about that. but i think they are way overpriced and you could have gotten a much better price on a different tire that will give you the same if not better performance.

i am going to guess the tires were somewhere around $300
good tires yes but worth $300 i pop i don't believe so especially when BFG G-Force T/A KD's are about $240. and those are the best tire i have ever driven on.

I am sure they are worth their money.

Since I work at a European car dealership (13 lines from VW to Ferrari) I get to see a lot of performance tires. The Pilot Sports aren't a bad tire, just over priced. Seems that Michelin is VERY proud of their product. The Porsches and Audis that come from the factory with them don't seem to get very much mileage and therefore replace them with something other that Michelin. Personally, for a really good all-season W-rated performance tire you can't beat the Continental ExtremeContact...quiet, smooth, awesome traction in rain and snow and the price is killer. :nice:
